Hi! I am Alexandra. I
use
photography as a tool within my research-led practice, converging documentary
approaches with participative experiences, site-specific interventions and speculative thinking.
In my most recent projects, I delve into the intricate entanglements of vegetal and human life. Exploring questions of accountability concerning the Western concept of “nature” in a time marked by ecological crisis events. Examining relationships between humans and cultivated plants, I navigate between the emotional and political realms of resource management, conservation strategies, food and knowledge production.
Focusing on the subject-matter and my research interest rather than the product, I endeavor to create long-term projects that can take on various forms and incorporate different presentation formats.
